Preliminaries • Briefly reconvene in your small groups to make any last-minute changes to their scripts, to entitle their plays, to plan props usage, to change into costumes, etc.
Objectives: • The students will be able to perform one-act dramatizations based on conflicting versions of the Battle of the Cowshed. • The students will be able to interpret other students’ plays based on conflicting versions of the Battle of the Cowshed.
Focus Lesson: Dramatizing… • Each group will perform their original one-act play based on an adaptation of Animal Farm. • As each group presents their play, students in the audience should take notes in response to the following questions: • How was the central conflict developed in this play? • Which character(s) brought the factual account of the Battle of the Cowshed to light? • How was the conflict resolved?
Homework • Finish QNQs on movies by 2/28.
