  4. Woodfibre LNG Approval Process • Required permit types • Development Permits (DP) • DP1 – Protection of the Natural Environment • DP 6 – Industrial Form & Character • DP 11 – Protection of Riparian Areas • Site Alteration Permit • Work Permit • Building Permit

  5. Woodfibre LNG Approval Process • Project sites for compressor station and processing facility are currently zoned for those uses. Rezoning not required. • None of the required permits are discretionary. If application meets guidelines/regulations permit must be issued. • Approvals from other agencies are required. District of Squamish will not authorize works until all other agency approvals are in place.

Phase 1 – Investigative • Eagle Mountain – Woodfibre Gas Pipeline (Fortis) • Squamish River borehole testing • DPA 1 (Environment), DPA 11 (Riparian) • Site Alteration Permit • Work Permit • Stawamus – Industrial Park Pipeline extension borehole testing • DPA 11 (Riparian) QEP Report – (dependent on location) • Work Permit

Phase 2 – If Project is Approved • Eagle Mountain – Woodfibre Gas Pipeline (cont.) • Industrial Way Hydro Upgrade • DPA 11 (Riparian)QEP Report (dependent on location) • Site Alteration Permit • Work Permit • Industrial Park Compressor Station • DPA 11 (Riparian) QEP Report • DPA 6 (Form and Character) • Site Alteration Permit • Work Permit • Building Permit

Phase 2 – If Project is Approved • Woodfibre LNG Processing Facility and Compressor Station • Building Permit • Utilize Letter of Assurance from a Coordinating Registered Professional • District inspectors review plans and documents, and regularly audit the project • Qualified profession must review for flood control level • Fire code reviewed with fire department • Machinery regulated and inspected by BC Safety Authority and Oil and Gas Commission
