  1. Canada is a fantastic place to do business, and it’s a country that offers tremendous opportunities in multiple ways, including business development, international trade, and a stable economy. To boost the country’s business capability, Canada allows the transfer of skilled workers between the parent company and its branch office in Canada. This process is known as an intra-company transfer Canada. The workers who come to Canada as intra-company transferees are granted a work permit to carry out intended business operations in Canada.

Further, unlike other work permit pathways, the intra-company transfer visa does not require a labor market impact assessment. • To qualify for the intra-company transfer visa, one must fall under one of the three categories: • An Executive; • A Manager; or • Specialized Knowledge worker. • Besides: • You must have been continuously working with the foreign company for at least one year in the last three years. • Be transferred to work in Canada in the same position or employer for a short duration.

Manager Working in the managerial capability means: • Managing the organization, or a department, subdivision, function, or component of the organization; • Supervise and control specific types of work • Can hire and fire, or recommend these and other personnel actions, such as promotion and leave authorization, and • Exercise discretion over the day-to-day operations or functions for which they have the authority. • Specialized knowledge A specialize knowledge work must demonstrate the following traits: • Show unique and uncommon knowledge of the company’s products and services. • Product, process, and service can include research, equipment, techniques, management, etc. • They are key personnel, and not just highly skilled • A high degree of proprietary knowledge. • Definition of qualifying relationship Companies may demonstrate the qualifying relationship through one of the following: • Branch Company; • Affiliate Company; or • A subsidiary of the parent company.
