  2. Introduction On-page SEO, or on-site SEO, is the process of optimizing various front-end and back-end components of your website so that it ranks in search engines and brings in new traffic. On-page SEO components include content elements, site architecture elements, and HTML elements.  Google pays attention to on-page SEO signals when ranking pages. The Google algorithm is always changing, but Google continues to prioritize user experience. Google recommends focusing on “people-first content.”

  4. High Quality Page Content Page content is the heart of on-page SEO. It tells both search engines and readers what your website and business are all about. The first step to creating high-quality content is choosing relevant keywords and topics. Conduct keyword research by searching Google for terms and seeing what surfaces for competitors and other websites. Minimum Content of page between 800 – 2000 Words

They are like a pitch that convince the user that the page is exactly what they're looking for. • As we covered above, meta descriptions should be a short, declarative sentence that incorporates the same keyword as your page's title. • Maximum length of the meta description between 160 – 170 character.

  10. Alt Attribute for Image Definition: An alt tag, also known as "alt attribute" and "alt description," is an HTML attribute applied to image tags to provide a text alternative for search engines. Applying images to alt tags such as product photos can positively impact an ecommerce store's search engine rankings. Alt text is contained within the image tag: <img src="myimage.png" alt="nike_air_zoom" />.

  11. Sitemap A sitemap is a file where you provide information about the pages, videos, and other files on your site, and the relationships between them. Search engines like Google read this file to crawl your site more efficiently. A sitemap tells Google which pages and files you think are important in your site, and also provides valuable information about these files. For example, when the page was last updated and any alternate language versions of the page. You can use a sitemap to provide information about specific types of content on your pages, including video, image, and news content. For example: • A sitemap video entry can specify the video running time, rating, and age-appropriateness rating. • A sitemap image entry can include the location of the images included in a page. • A sitemap news entry can include the article title and publication date.

Headings Heading tags optimization is a technique to improve your content’s visibility for the search engines. Heading tags optimization plays a very important role to display your webpage at the top ranking of Search Engine Result Pages (SERP). The header tag is the title or heading of your article that is usually written in BLOCK & CAPITAL letters. There are a variety of header tags for a particular article such as h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, and h6. The h1 tag is always the title of your article making it the most important among all other header tags and the h2 will always be a subheading tag making it a little less important than the h1 tags.

  13. ROBOTS.txt A robots.txt file tells search engine crawlers which URLs the crawler can access on your site. This is used mainly to avoid overloading your site with requests; it is not a mechanism for keeping a web page out of Google. To keep a web page out of Google, block indexing with no index or password-protect the page.

  14. Do follow & No Follow • A do follow link is a link that helps in terms of SEO by passing the authority of the origin site to the destination site. This passing of authority is called, “link juice.” Acquiring do follow backlink will help improve a website’s domain authority, or domain rating, which in turn, helps to improve keyword ranking. • A no follow link, or backlin, is a link which does not pass authority on to the website it is linking to. These links do not help in terms of SEO.

  15. Internal & External Linking • Internal Link - Internal links are hyperlinks that point at (target) the same domain as the domain that the link exists on (source). In layman's terms, an internal link is one that points to another page on the same website. • External Link -External Links are hyperlinks that point at (target) any domain other than the domain the link exists on (source). In layman's terms, if another website links to you, this is considered an external link to your site. Similarly, if you link out to another website, this is also considered an external link.
