  3. WHAT IS ON-PAGE • On-page SEO is the practice ofoptimizing individual webpages in order to rank higher and earn more relevant traffic in search engines. On-page refers to both the content and HTML source code of a page that can be optimized, as opposed to off-page SEO which refers to links and other external signals.

  4. Essential on-page SEO factors • Page Titles • Meta Descriptions • Url Structure • Body Tags (H1, H2, H3, H4, etc.) • Keyword Density • Image Seo • Internal Linking

  5. PAGE TITLE • A title tag is an HTML element that specifies the title of a web page. Title tags are displayed on search engine results pages (SERPs) as the clickable headline for a given result, and are important for usability, SEO, and social sharing. The title tag of a web page is meant to be an accurate and concise description of a page's content.

  6. META DESCRIPTIONS • Meta descriptions are HTML attributes that provide concise summaries of webpages. They are between one sentence to a short paragraph and appear underneath the blue clickable links in a search engine results page (SERP). However, depending on a user's query, Google might pull meta description text from other areas on your page (in an attempt to better answer the searcher's query).

  7. URL STRUCTURE • A URL (Uniform Resource Locator), more commonly known as a "web address", specifies the location of a resource (such as a web page) on the internet. The URL also specifies how to retrieve that resource, also known as the "protocol", such as HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, etc.

  8. BODY TAGS • The HTML heading tag is different from the title element of a web page, but both elements help describe and categorize a web page. • The heading tag is a visible part of the web page, whereas the web page title is merely visible within a browser tab or within search result listings–but not on the web page.

  9. KEYWORD DENSITY • Keyword density is the percentage of times a keyword or phrase appears on a web page compared to the total number of words on the page. In the context of search engine optimization, keyword density can be used to determine whether a web page is relevant to a specified keywordor keyword phrase.

  10. IMAGE OPTIMIZATION • The alt text (or alt tag) is added to an image so there will be descriptive text in place if the image can’t be displayed to the visitor for any reason.

  11. INTERNAL LINKING • Internal links are links that go from one page on a domain to a different page on the same domain. They are commonly used in main navigation. These type of links are useful for three reasons: They allow users to navigate a website. They help establish information hierarchy for the given website.
