  2. Stem-Changing Verbs: O-UE • There are 3 types of stem-changing verbs. • You have already learned about one kind, E-IE stem-changers. • Another type is O-UE stem-changing verbs. As the name implies, you will change the O in the stem of the verb to a UE. • This change only happens inside the boot (not in the nosotros or vosotros forms).

  3. Conjugate the “O-UE” verb poder (to be able/can) • Yopuedo • (I can) • Túpuedes • (you can) • Él/ella/ustedpuede • (he/she/you can) • Nosotrospodemos • (we can) • Ellos/ellas/ustedes • pueden • (they/you all can)

  4. Other “O-UE” verbs you should know • Volver • Dormir • Mover • Almorzar • costar • To return • To sleep • To move • To eat lunch • To cost

  6. There is only one verb in spanish that is a “U-ue” verb • This verb is the verb jugar(to play) • It is used for playing a sport or game—not music!
