  4. The importance of multi-fields skills Future AI Manufacturing & Industry 5.0 AI Specialization & artisan culture From past to present Specialization & artisan culture Japan Germany Taiwan 4

  5. AI is getting more powerful. In addition to manufacturing, AI is also good at design.  AI Chip designer  AI Architecture and Space Designer ArchiGAN  AI 3D modeler GANverse3D with ADOP  AI Graphic Designer Nikolay Ironov  AI Musician AIVA  AI Programmer GPT-3 and GitHub Copilot  AI Artist: Dall-E, MidJourney, stable diffusion,…  AI Writer 5

  6. Irreplaceable abilities of AI 1. Literature of cultural heritage AI can already write articles, but literary creation with rich cultural heritage is not only impossible for AI , even for humans, if it lacks long-term cultural influence. It is still difficult to do well. 2. Highly original art AI can already draw pictures, whether it is meticulous painting, ink painting, or abstract painting. It is very powerful, but AI cannot understand human emotions, nor can it distinguish between beauty and ugliness. Therefore, art works that incorporate emotions cannot be replaced by AI. 3. Knowledge across domains AI is extremely powerful in the field of Specialization, and can easily replace experts in many fields. However, once it needs to cross fields, AI has absolutely no way. It must rely on cross-field talents to integrate several AIs to collaborate. 4. Mental and Emotional AI cannot understand human psychology and emotions, so as long as it involves literature, art, ecology, spiritual health, etc. It is the strength of human beings. 6

  7. Necessary thinking in the age of AI AI Advantages Specialization & craftsman skills & rapid learning and evolution in a single field AI Weakness Inability to understand emotions & Inability to cross-fields knowledge, skills, and thinking Human-led + AI -assisted   Infinite extension of creativity Human + AI which like as human with three heads and six arms will makes abilities greatly improved. 7

  10. Problems of conventional solar system • Shade the sun light • Destroy the ecology of animals and plants • Destroy the land • Easily damaged by strong winds • Small solar area and limited power generation • Prone to spontaneous combustion in hot and dry areas • Easily damaged by strong winds • Block sunlight and oxygen • Deteriorated water qualtiy • Affect the ecology of underwater flora and fauna • Damage the natural landscape 10

  11. Disasters for conventional solar system Easily damaged in strong winds Easy to burn in high temperature and dry environment 11

  12. Explanation the damage by strong Solar panels can not withstand strong winds like typhoons. 12

  13. Explanation the damage by spontaneous combustion Plastic materials are easy to fuel fires due to high temeerature. 13

  18. Major disadvantages of conventional green buildings • It just place little photovoltaic panels in the roof . • It just plant a lot of trees in the balcony and roof. • It unable to effectively reduce carbon emission. • It's gimmick rather than practical. According to a research report by the University of Iowa, planting trees in cities is only marginal to reducing carbon emissions. And it must be combined with low-carbon buildings, energy- saving, thermal insolation, and other comprehensive help to effectively reduce carbon emissions. 18

  19. The big disadvantages of RC buildings   • • • • • • 19

  20. Major disadvantages of conventional green buildings • The main body is still RC. It will not only consume high energy, but also cause great harm to the environment during the mining process. Futher, the recycling rate will be low. • The carbon emission of RC was too large to be compensated by planting trees on the balconies and rooftops. • The balcony floor will gradually cracks due to the growth of tree roots. Water leakage is unavoidable. • The trees on the balcony are easy to attract mosquitoes, flies, and bird droppings. In addition, weeds and branch are all required for daily maintenance, which not all residents can afford. • When typhoon hits the trees on the balcony, the broken branches will not only break the occupant's glasses of window, but also drop down. It will cause unpredictable dangers and disasters. • Trees are planted on the balcony of each household's home, which involves personal privacy. It is difficult to manage centrally. Futher, trees will shades the sun, and then makes the interior dark. 20

  21. Past and Future of Cities and Architectures • Now the construction industry has become a sunset industry, and it would rather introvert than innovate. • Future architecture will be a star industry indeed. • Architecture will be integrated with solar, ecological, modular, low-carbon energy saving , and AI. • Architecture will be fast, low-cost, and high-quality assembly with AI and robots. • The modules of all buildings are like the production of mobile phones and laptops • AI participates in the complete process of structural design, approval, and construction, etc. • It will completely eliminate corruption and jerry-built projects. 21

  23. The Ecological Disaster from present to future No matter what project is developed, there is nothing more worthy of attention than dealing with the disaster caused by ecological damage. • Extreme climate : Storms, tsunamis, floods, droughts, and heavy snow causes countless loss of life and property. • Sea level rise : Low-elevation cities face the crisis of flooding. • Large-scale epidemic: Global warming contributes to the large-scale epidemics, and people will faces an unprecedented crisis. • Species Extinction : 1 % of humans wipe out nearly 85 % of wild mammals and a half of plants. • Air Pollution : The shrouded smog will seriously threaten the health of the body. 23

  26. Advantages of the Capitalism in US • Encourage innovation It does not judge success or failure only based on results. As long as there are good plans or ideas will be opportunities to continue. • Value strength over position and title. Emphasis on personal characteristics and practical ability, rather than judgement by age, position, title and experience. • Leader in bleeding edge technologies. A lot of advanced technologies are majorly developed from the United States, and it is currently the first country that has officially entered in the AI age. • Technology, art and culture were all going hand in hand. It not only attaches importance to technology, but also attaches more importance to culture and art. Entering the AI era, it also be integrated together of the three. Hollywood sci-fi movies and their rich surrounding industries are the most typical examples. 26

  27. Disadvantages of the Capitalism • Wearing a mask and accurately screening are the best preventive measures. Only vaccinating without other supporting measures can promote virus mutation and immune evasion. Epidemic prevention measures • Power consumption of bitcoin mining was similar as a country. Bitcoin Policy • Topic and guideline is still symbolic. Firepower and nuclear energy have been restored one by one. Zero-carbon emssion goal • Gap between the rich and poor The top 1% of the rich people who own half of the world's wealth. The top 10% of the rich people who produce half of the world's carbon emissions. However, let all the creatures on earth to suffer these disasters. https://www.theguardian.com/inequality/2017/nov/14/worlds-richest-wealth-credit-suisse _ https://emagazine.com/richest-10-cause-half-of-carbon-emissions/ 27

  29. Metaverse vs Virtual Reality Metaverse VR • It is closer to the real world. • People can arbitraried walk in the virtual world. • Once encounter the objects such as trees, walls, rocks, etc. will also be blocked. • Any virtual objects can be grabbed and moved arbitrarily. • Commodities purchased in the virtual world will be delivered to consumers by AI drones and robotic deliverymen in the real world. • People will have the experience of visiting a real-like stores without leaving your home. • It is camera shots or computer graphics. • Main type is 360 or 720 degree picture or video. • In the virtual image, people can't arbitrary walk in it, and they will pass through the body when they encounter trees and stones. 29

  30. Metaverse vs VR Metaverse = A Virtual world which have real-like experience ≠ VR • Activities like as the real world, the difference is in different spaces. • Sport, study, shopping, leisure, meditation, and psychotherapy, etc., is as similar as real ones. • It is the only way to effectively improve the ecology of the earth excpet for large-scale epidemics. • We need multi-fields knowledges in the AI age. It is pity that some famous scientists distort and criticize the metaverse. 30

  31. Importance of the Metaverse in the Age of AI There is no right or wrong in technologies. It is rely on people who use it in the right or wrong place. Right Metaverse - Industrial Metaverse It is for the optimizing of the real economy with digital twins. For example : Unmanned factories, industrial design, education and training, approval and review of public works and buildings. Wrong Metaverse - The Metaverse for Social Interaction and Entertainment It is pure virtual economy. For example : social, gaming, digital estate, NFT digital art, etc. If there is no industrial metaverse with digital twins, it is like going back to the Stone Age in the future. 31

  32. Importance of the Metaverse in the Age of AI Metaverse helps space exploration Build a highly realistic space environment ( such as Mars ) with the metaverse to provide astronauts with drills. It can avoid risks and help space exploration missions. It is pity that some fa,ous scientists say that the metaverse will hinder space exploration. It shows the importance of multi-fields in the AI age. 32

  33. Importance of the Metaverse in the Age of AI Metaverse helps education and training To build the dismantling of floating products on the metaverse platform. In the future, Microsoft VR gloves can be used to directly dismantle and assemble. At the same time, animations can be used to demonstrate the operation process. It is difficult to achieve in the real world. 33

  34. Importance of the Metaverse in the Age of AI Metaverse helps intelligent production AI can help the optimization for workshops installation and production lines on the metaverse platform with digital twins. The following picture shows BMW production lines with nVidia Omniverse. 34

  35. Dr. Lu's Metaverse • No matter how hard to work, it is so far to slow down ecological degradation. Not to mention it will get better. • The earth only get better when the cities were closed due to the epidemic. • Using the virtual economy of the Metaverse to optimize the real economy is not only an innovation in technological civilization, but also a recipe for the ecology protection. • The virtual business of the Metaverse can save the ecology immediately. Disappointingly, we blindly develop technology and ignore the ecology. If the earth is destroyed, everything will be in vain. • To effectively improve the ecology, the Metaverse VS virus. It can only choose one of the two. 35

This is a way to use the high thermal conductivity of few-layer graphene to greatly reduce COB Thermal Gap between LED chip and heat sink Few-layer graphene is expensive • Preparation of single-layer/ double-layer graphene is not easy, and the probability of defects is high Dr. Lu used these defective products to find that their thermal radiation efficiency is very close to that of black body radiation. After measurement, surface temperature decreased by more than 30˚C and the radiation temperature also increased by more than 30˚C. • • • • 45

  46. Dr. Lu 's Sustainable Eco-City Project Name : Taiwan 2020 Community Environmental Survey and Renovation Plan • Building : Architecture was SS steel exposed frame and glass curtain wall by modular low-carbon construction method. • Building materials : green steel, glass, imitation wood and stone, colored solar cells. All no harm to the environment • Installation Art : The abstract art presents the image of crystal column that emits colorful light. The crystal will disperse sunlight and emit colorful light. Therefore, solar cells of seven colors are placed in the glued glass and placed on the west side, south side, and roof of the building. • Solar: Colored solar curtain wall glass was placed on the roof, west side, and south side by the image of spectrum. • Insolation : Both power generation and thermal insolation to maximum reduce carbon emission. • Natural Lighting : Using the principle of optical reflection, the right amount of light is introduced to increase the lighting in the middle area without over exposure. It was both healthy and energy saveing. 46

  48. AI Assisted VS AI Generated AI Assisted AI Generated • For special one, each creation with strong personal characteristics, they are very different from each other. As long as these artists do not publish too many creations, AI will not have enough data to sample and learn. Therefore, AI cannot generate it well. • Routine design is public and major for business. There is not much differentiation between each other for those creations. AI can generate very well and quickly. • There is not much knowledge added. • The creator highly endows the AI with his own knowledges and skill, so that the AI can be created according to the creator's will. • No copyright. • Competing with humans. • Partnership with humans. 48

  49. 49

  50. Dr. Lu’s Routine – Industrial Design – AI Generated Practical Flying Vehicle • Use air propellers instead of jet engines • The wheels can be retracted to reduce wind resistance. • Lightweight for energy saving. 50
