  1. Problems And Their Solutions Related To Hoya Plant Hoya plants are gorgeous, mysterious and are available in many varieties. The plant has become the desired plant for many plant lovers. Their flowers and fragrance make a beautiful impact that leaves a beautiful impact on those who have just started their planting journey. The flowers are five-pointed stars available in shapes, sizes, and red-toned colors. The hoya has the quality to surprise you whether you are an expert or a beginner. The plant is native to Asia and Australia and is an epiphyte. However, most of these are vines, and few have a bush-like growth. Depending on their species, some hoyas require cooler nights to bloom. Like every other plant, it needs sunlight, soil, temperature, and water. The plant, too, faces some problems regarding weather, place, watering, and more. Let’s find out more about the plants:

  2. Hoya plant problems Hoya plants do not often face any severe issues. Still, you need to know the things to remember regarding the plant. Though hoya does not demand attention, their needs must be fulfilled for proper growth. For their growth, let’s figure out their problems and solutions: Leaves changing colors If the leaves of the hoya plant turn brown or yellow, the plant is not pleased. Yellow leaves mean they are overwatered, and the soil should be checked thoroughly. Plus on, in rare instances, the root has some fungal infection. If the leaves are brown, this indicates too much heat and lack of humidity, and hoyas are underwatered. In addition, it also shows the use of excessive fertilization. Solutions For yellow leaves, shift the plant to a new pot, and ensure the plant has proper holes for the drainage of excess water. For brown leaves, change the location of the plant and keep it in a shady area. Put the fertilizers as recommended. ● ● ● Limping Water has the ability to both create and destroy. The plants are no exception. Hoyas, too, get affected by the water as the water can make the plant limp and weak. Your plant might look dead or dying. The plant may survive if the dehydration and overhydration have not damaged the internal system of the plant. High temperatures and pests, too, influence the plant. Solution Examine the soil, it feels mushy, and the excessive watering is the reason behind the limping of the plant. For the next few days, avoid watering the plant; in a few days, it will be healthy again. Arid soil means dehydration; then, you have to water your plant. It will rise again. Use insecticides to remove pests. If the condition is too severe, visit the garden centers and check your plant thoroughly. ● ● ● ●

  3. Falling leaves If kept outdoors, the hoyas lose their leaves in winter. Though every plant does it, to save energy for the spring season when they will bloom again. Solution ● ● Shift the plant indoors or to a warmer place. Increased humidity of the humidifier, too, prevents leaf fall. Just provide proper growing conditions, and the hoya plant will bloom throughout the year.
