    3. Location Cuba is located in the Caribbean Sea, Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico.

    4. Foods Congr - a combination of rice and red kidney beans. Frijoles Negros Dormidos - very thick cooked black beans. Lechn Asado en Pa - broiled pork cooked on a skewer over an open fire. Moros y Cristianos - white rice and black beans.

    5. Foods Picadillo a la Habanera - a mincemeat dish Havana style. Pollo a la Barbacoa, barbecued chicken cooked over an open fire. Tachinos, Chatinos or Tostones - fried unripe sliced bananas. Tamales, Bacanes or Ayacas - tender kernel corn in corn meal wraps.

Other holidays are Labor Day (1 May), the Anniversary of the Attack on the Moncada Garrison in Santiago de Cuba in 1953 (26 July), and the Beginning of the War of Independence from Spain (10 October). Mothers Day (second Sunday in May) is widely observed.
