  3. History • The prehistory of the island of Cuba comprises from circa 8000. C. with the arrival of the first Aboriginal to the arrival of Christopher Columbus in 1492. The written history of the island begins with the Spanish domination that created the Captaincy General of Cuba. • Cuba gained independence from Spain after the latter's defeat in the Spanish-American War. As a result, the island became controlled by the United States, after a military intervention, gives the form of a republic, but in fact has continued to rely on that country until the Cuban Revolution. 1

  4. Culture • A culture of Cuba is a mixture as well as most Latin American cultures. Cuba is a meeting between European, African and American cultures. Since 1959 (when the Cuban revolution began) Cuban culture has changed in many ways. • 2

  5. States • The Cuban State. Is the political superstructure that is created in order to serve the ruling class, built on a certain economic base, which makes it politically dominant and provides the means of enforcing their class interests. • 3

Natural Sourcess • The Cuban economy is supported by its varied natural resources of the country, ranging from minerals such as nickel and cobalt, to tropical landscapes that attract millions of tourists every year. Human capital is the other mainstay of industry in the nation, with the highest literacy rate, life expectancy and health coverage for the entire region of Latin America and the Caribbean. • 4

  7. Topography • He has developed various research projects that have helped to deepen the understanding of geological Cuba and the Caribbean.   8. Personal Opinion • Cuba to hear about and read on wikipedia "party system" for the first time, I told myself and convinced myself it was a dictatorship without democracy. All my ignorance was watered by the attacks towards the capitalist media disinformation.
