  12. Team Formations • The following information will help you during the Team Formation process with Colorado United. The U10 to U11 Transition Coordinator, Tito Ward, is responsible for the preparation and running of the U11 Team Formations. The formation process is only the starting point for your child's competitive soccer experience.  Even though every effort is made to place players on appropriate teams, players can be misplaced during Team Formations. To ensure players get the best soccer experience, movement does continue throughout the entire U11 year.

  13. Team Formations Cont… • Here is what your child can expect at the U11 Team Formations: -         The U11 team formations are done over a two day “tryout”.  All players are expected to attend both nights of tryouts unless they are contacted and told otherwise. Players must let their evaluating coach know if they will be unable to attend the second night of tryouts. -         Players will begin getting offers as early as the day of Team Formations. (Starting with the White team) -         All players will be contacted within 3 business days of the end of tryouts. -         Once contacted, players will have 24 hours to commit to playing on that team.  -         Once players have committed to a team, they will not be moved down to a lower team during the tryout process. Players may move up as players turn down opportunities on teams above. It also important to note that movement will take place both up and down throughout the fall and spring seasons as players progress in the development process. -         All will be offered a place on the a Competitive or Academy team.
