  11. Edifice The picture of the Art Museum in Philadelphia represents the definition of edifice. The Art Museum of Philadelphia is a large, complex building.

  12. Eclectic The Grand Floridian Hotel has an eclectic style seen in the different types of architecture and furniture. This picture was chosen because the different architecture styles are diverse but all come together to create a warm and luxurious feeling for the vacationers. Many different taste come together to form one cohesive style.

  13. Fabricate With the use of the showing machine, my mom is able to fabricate any creation she desires. The showing machine allows someone to sew clothes and any other type of fabric to create something out of nothing. Costumes, clothing, table clothes, curtains are all able to be assembled with this one machine. The article of clothing is fabricated by the machine.

  14. Gamut The group experienced a full gamut of human emotions during the night. This picture expresses a full variety of emotions. The different expressions on everyone’s face ranges from excitement to nervousness in one caption.

  15. Hamper The comfy robe and bed hampered the day’s activities. This picture represents the word hamper because after that robe was put on I did not want to move an inch and nothing else was accomplished that day but relaxation. The comfy robe stopped or disrupted the productiveness of my family.

  16. Iconoclast The devil is seen as an iconoclast figure in the Catholic faith. The devil is the one who tempts man and does whatever he can to destroy traditional beliefs and customs. Devil ears were chosen to represent iconoclast due to the involvement the devil has with the tempting of Catholics and trying to demolish the faith.

  17. Ignominious Throughout the movie, Easy A, the main character is portrayed as a teenager causing public disgrace and shame not only to herself but also to her family. 18. Labyrinth We were taken up a structure full of labyrinth walkways until we finally reached the top. This structure had several different stairs that all led up to the top. We tried every stairwell until we made it to our destination. This picture represents labyrinth due to the structural aspect and all the different staircases involved. There were several intricate paths taken to reach the top.

  19. Magnanimous The act of forgiveness and generosity gesture especially toward a rival is associated with the term magnanimous. In the picture the girls showed a magnanimous gesture of forgiveness before the start of the game. This picture was shown because the two teammates were competing for a position and at the end of the day were able to put aside their rivalry for playing time.

  20. Nadir In volleyball the nadir of a game is losing but we fight to the finish. The pictures show the nadir of playing the sport (trying to get to the ball before it hits the ground). The players in the pictures are already to the lowest point of moving in order to get to the ball. This is the nadir for them to reach the ball.

  21. Obliterate With the loss against Lake Catholic the varsity volleyball team was obliterated from the regional finals. The only reminder of that game was the trophy given to the captains. During the semi finals of the regional competition the NDCL volleyball team was destroyed by Lake and was wiped out of the competition completely. That was the last game the Lions would play in the 2012 season, nothing was left for the seniors to do.
