  3. Where • A rolling plain • It spreads across Greenland, most of Eurasia and North America and the southern tip of South America and a part of Antarctica

  4. Changes • Region of great seasonal changes because of distance from equator • Winter is mostly dark and summer is mostly sunny

  5. Tundra • Permafrost- a thin layer of permanently frozen soil just below the surface. • This is the simplest biome
