  2. 2010 IDN SUMMIT AND EXPOThe Search for Supply Chain Excellence in Healthcare Awards Vision: • Establishthe premiere supply chain award in the pursuit of standards of supply chain excellence in collaboration between IDNs, healthcare systems and supply chain stakeholders, as determined by IDN peer review and the IDN Summit Education Advisory Board.

  3. 2010 IDN SUMMIT AND EXPOThe Search for Supply Chain Excellence in Healthcare Awards Goals: • Identify current cutting edge initiatives within IDNs or healthcare systems across the U.S. • Entrants are adjudicated thru the “Peer Recognition Process” and IDN Summit Education Advisory Board to determine the top five initiatives from the nationwide pool. • Recognize the elite initiatives at the Spring 2010 IDN Summit & Expo as determined by peer attendees with the winning participants receiving industry, local, regional and national recognition.

  4. 2010 IDN SUMMIT AND EXPOThe Search for Supply Chain Excellence in Healthcare Awards • How does our healthcare system compete? • Identify a quantifiable supply chain improvement during 2008-2009 involving time or money savings efficiencythat directly impacts the quality of patient care. • Complete the online application and self audit, return one copy electronically with signature complete with necessary supporting materials by December 31st, 2009.

  5. 2010 IDN SUMMIT AND EXPOThe Search for Supply Chain Excellence in Healthcare Awards • Rules: 1) Ideas submitted must be process or initiative specific. 2) Ideas submitted must support innovation and improvement in technology, work flow, product flow, contracting decision, and/or processes involving time or money savings efficiency that directly related to quality of patient care. 3) Ideas will be considered as of November 1, 2009 and official announcement will be made. 4) All entries must be submitted by December 31, 2009 to be evaluated. 5) Ideas will be reviewed by the EAB and narrowed to the top fifteen and posted online for voting in the “Peer Review Process” from January 15, 2010. Voting closes February 28,2010. 6) The top five ideas will then be announced on March 8, 2010. 7) The top five ideas will be adjudicated at the event by attending peers and the IDN Summit Education Advisory Board. 8) One “National Award Winner” and up to four “Peer Choice Award” winners will be recognized at the awards’ event during the general session at the Spring 2010 Summit. 9) All entrant “signees” must be in attendance at the event to receive the award.
