  1. Goals and objectives

  2. Guardian Designers curriculum goals. The curriculum goals of Guardian Designers Early Childhood Care and Education Centre were influenced by the Ministry of Education, Trinidad and Tobago. The early childhood curriculum guide outlines in it’s goals for children, the need to develop the child at all levels. http://www.moe.gov.tt/Docs/Policies/ECCE/DRAFT_NATIONAL_CURRICULUM_GUIDE.pdf. Page 32 of this document highlights one of these components as having the child “acquire the skills they need to become intellectually empowered and successful learners….and the ability to express their ideas through the use of technology”.

  3. ? In keeping with the Ministry’s mandate, Guardian Designers goal for the 3-5 year olds is to provide the preschoolers with the necessary resources to create and construct new knowledge using information and communication technology by the end of the first term. A variety of media would be used to integrate pre-science skills into the curriculum.

  4. Objectives

  5. A.B.C.D’s. • The A.B.C.D. rules will be applied over a series of lessons for this to be achieved. • This learning is for the 3-5 year olds. • The children will explore and modify images, colors and text. • They will also display creativity by using language, text, images and sounds (e.g. taking pictures, using the microphone to record audio, designing components to create images for the website.)

  6. After guided instruction the children will create a brochure to share with their school mates and friends.

  7. Success rate – 99% At the end of the project the students would have used the colors names as an adjective to form phrases and use in sentences. Expanded their vocabulary by learning new words and look at the different shades of red in nature and man made objects.
