This Program recognizes only those electrical distributors who have demonstrated their commitment to the Sustainability Movement by investing in training, dedicating time, and utilizing their resources toward providing responsible solutions. City Electric was one of less than fifteen distributorsnationwide that had been awarded this honorin July of 2009 by achieving a better understanding of environmental issues and offering environmentally responsible solutions to their customers.

Although the list of requirements is quite lengthy, some of the criteria met by the Company include the following practices: • Providing on-going training to employees regarding “green” and “sustainability” measures. The staff must demonstrate a keen understanding of sustainable lighting solutions. • Retaining at least one full-time Lighting Specialist and Lighting Audit Expert to help customers find the right solutions for their applications. • Providing lighting solutions to customers that are not only “Green,” but that also help the customers increase profitability. • Taking part in a Recycling Program. (City Electric Company actually provides this service to customers, as well, for electrical products and more). • Selling “green” – “green” products must represent the majority of the distributor’s product sales.
