  1. Arcola Football 2013 “There’s only one way to succeed in anything, and that is to give it everything. I do, and I demand that my players do.” Vince Lombardi “Football doesn’t build character, it eliminates the weak ones.” Darrell Royal

  2. What is Required To Start Practice • CIPPE Packet – PIAA Regulation – you cannot participate in athletics unless this is completed and returned. • Completed and returned to the Arcola Athletic Trainer after 6/1/13. • May be delivered directly to or mailed. • DO NOT GIVE THIS TO ANY COACH!!! • Team Policy - You will not be allowed onto the team if you don’t have this completed and handed in by Friday, September 6th, 2013. • Emergency Cards – Completed and returned to Coach Mayan. • Impact Test – PIAA Regulation – you must take the test to participate in athletics. • Date to be determined. The impact test establishes the norm that can be used to determine if an athlete is ready to return after a concussion. • Register for E-Alerts at Methactonwarriors.org: all important messages about the team will be communicated this way. • Go to http://methactonwarriors.org • Click the link at the top right of the page, “Email Alerts” • Your parents should enter their information on this page • Check the box for Football: Boys Middle School • Click “Submit” and you will be set

  3. Team RulesContinued Participation on the team depends on the following… • Maintain Good Grades - Get your work done on your time, not team time. You are a student-athlete now, you must manage your time so that academics nor athletics will suffer. • 2 F’s = PIAA Regulation - 1 week suspension from the team. No practice, no game, no involvement with the team • 1 F = 1 week of practicing but no game. • Character – Make good choices and do what you are supposed to do on the field, in school, and in life. • You are representing Arcola, your team, your family, and yourself. Make all of them look good. • If you don’t, Coach Mayan WILL find out! • Effort - Nothing less than 100% effort is acceptable on this team. Alll Day, All Game, All Season! On the field, in school, in life. 4. Attendance – Don’t miss practice. See #’s 1, 2, and 3 above. Missed practice time = Missed game time. 5. Dependable Transportation Home • Practice days: • Your ride should be at Arcola by 5:00 pm waiting for you. • Rides must arrive no later than 5:15 pm. If your ride is late, you will owe the team time. • Home Games: 5:30 pm. Rides should be at Arcola before the bus returns. • Away Games: 6:00 pm.
