BACKGROUND • ASSOCIATE DEGREE IN DRAFTING AND DESIGN FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF RIO GRANDE, IN 2000 • TYLER TECHNOLOGIES, APRRAISER, FROM JULY, 2000 – JANUARY 2003 • THE PUTNAM COUNTY ASSESSOR’S OFFICE January 2003 TO PRESENT. STARTING WORK ON GIS IN HOUSE • LATE 2004, THEN ASSESSOR, GETTING ANXIOUS, COUNTIES WERE GETTING AHEAD OF HIM ON COMPLETING DATA, DECIDES TO CONTRACT IT OUT. • JULY 2005, CONTRACTED L ROBERT KIMBALL AND ASSOCIATES TO COMPLETE OUR DATA.

BEST FIT vs COGO • COMPLETED A PILOT AREA BEST FIT • ASSESSOR DIDN’T LIKE ACCURACY • DECIDED ON FULL COGO WITH OFFICE STAFF PULLING DEEDS & SURVEYS • BROUGHT ON PART TIME EMPLOYEE TO ASSIST, EVENTUALLY FULL TIME POSITION. • NEW ASSESSOR JANUARY 2009, FINAL DELIVERY OF DATA FEBRUARY 2009 • PUTNAM COUNTY HAS SOME OF THE MOST ACCURATE PARCELS IN THE STATE

  4. DISCOVERY AFTER THE FACT ANNOTATION TOO SMALL • IMPORTANCE OF A DETAILED RFP STATEMENT OF KEEPING TO STATE STANDARDS & PROCEDURES NOT ALWAYS GOOD ENOUGH

  7. 2010 COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT THE ASSESSOR’S OFFICE, PUTNAM COUNTY 911, & USGS ENTERED INTO A COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT TO FLY NEW 6” PHOTOGRAPHY FLOWN.

  8. 2010 COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT THE ASSESSOR’S OFFICE & 911 WENT A STEP FURTHE IN THE PROJECT WITH THE REQUEST OF THE COMPLETION OF A BUILDING FOOTPRINT LAYER & PLANIMETRIC UPDATE AS A PART OF THE AGREEMENT THE USGS WAS TO INCLUDE THE AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY AS A PART OF THE NATIONAL MAP

  9. NEWPROJECTS THE DREADED NEIGHBORHOOD CODE MAP

  10. ATTRIBUTES OF EACH NEIGHBORHOOD AT THIS POINT SIX DIFFERENT REPORTS/SPREADSHEETS HAVE BEEN ENTERED INTO THE ATTRIBUTE TABLE. THIS HAS ALLOWED US TO MAKE JUST ONE REPORT

  11. SUBDIVISION OUTLINE ALOWS US TO KEEP TRACK OF THINGS SUCH AS THE DEVELOPER, PLATS, ETC WANT TO MAKE IT A SEACHABLE LAYER ON THE WEBSITE FOR THOSE WHO KNOW THE SUBDIVISION NAME & LOCATION WITHIN THE SUBD., BUT NOT THE OWNER OR LOT NUMBER

  12. PERSONAL PROPERTY MOBILE HOMES & MOBILE HOME PARKS ALLOWS US TO LINK THEM TO CAMA DATA WE SEND A COPY OF THE MAP TO THE PARK OWNERS IN JULY. THEY UPDATE AND RETURN (SOME LIKE IT, AND REQUEST A COPY FOR THEMSELVES TO UPDATE AS MH’S ARE MOVE IN & OUT.

  13. MOBILE HOME ATTRIBUTES THIS REPORT IS ALSO SENT TO THE PARK OWNER IN JULY WHEN THE PARK OWNER PROVIDES THE UPDATE.
