  8. Commentary Dragon Keeper is one of the best books I have ever read. It never occurred to me to stop reading. I just kept going and going. The thing that mostly kept me concentrated was how the author could explain in much detail, the experience Ping went through of learning so much wise information from Danzi. Since the beginning of the book, Ping has never really appreciated life. She never had much experience in anything, mainly because she was a slave. Even I myself, have learned new things from the wise dragon. I learnt about looking in different perspectives, knowing the values of life, and having responsibilities. I started to understand more about myself and why other people do things the way they do it. I think I relate a bit more to Ping then to Danzi, beause I’m still young and have a lot to learn. I think the moral of this book was to never in your life, look down on yourself. Even though sometimes you may fail, its not the end of the world. Keep trying and believing in yourself. “You said when life knocks you down, you can chose whether or not to get back up.” – The Karate Kid.
