  2. About the Solar System • A solar system is a very large open space filled with millions of objects. • Our solar system is located in the milky way galaxy.

  3. About the Sun • The sun is a giant star, and a burning ball of gas. • The sun has 500 times more matter than everything else in the solar system combined. • The sun is important to our solar system because we would freeze with out it, and the temperature would be at least -100 degrees.

  4. About the Planets • The order of the planets from the Sun are: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and then Neptune. • A planet is a very large place in our solar system • There are nine planets counting Pluto. • They orbit the Sun because it rotates and spins. • The order planets from tallest to smallest by size are: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Earth, Venus, Mars, Mercury.

  5. About the Moon • The Moon is a big hot blob that cooled and started to orbit the earth. • The Moons orbit the planets because when it dried it stared to circle the planet.
