  3. Vehicle Inspections-When • Regularly scheduled,1,2,or 3 times annually • Vehicle replaced,transfer,operational requests, complaint , Field Report,Referral from another agency

  4. Incentive Inspection Program • Three rounds (A, B, C) of inspections in one evolution of the inspection program. • All vehicles are inspected in the “A” round. Only those permit holders that have an 80% pass rate or higher are inspected one time for the inspection evolution.

  5. Incentives (continued) • The vehicles put in the “C” round are inspected a third time for a pass rate below 80%. • An inspection fee is required for each vehicle inspected in the “C” round. • This program helps to ensure compliance and enhance vehicle quality.

  6. Inter-Agency Team Work • A list of permit holders is updated and sent monthly to the following agencies: • County Weights and Measures • The Airport Authority • Border Patrol • Scheduled meetings with local law enforcement. • Team with the California Highway Patrol for joint inspections of vehicles at the Airport and U.S./Mexican border.

Insurance (continued) • The insurance company must notify our agency 30 days prior to cancellation of existing policy. • Our agency is the certificate holder and additional insured. • The certificate must be the original Acord form (no exceptions). • The certificate must be mistake free or will not be accepted.

  11. Radio Service • All taxicab owners must subscribe to an MTS-approved radio service.  • A letter of intent from the desired radio service must be included and approved by our agency.  • The applicant must abide by the radio services vehicle color scheme, required markings, and rates of fare.
