FIT Phase TASW • RIMPAC FIT Phase TASW is not a new concept • Occurs in conjunction with FIT Phase WASEX serials • C3F directed 2 x 60 hr events (CDC Jan 13) • Decrease from 2 x 72 hr events RIMPAC 2010 • Increase from 2 x 48 hr events RIMPAC 2012 • Dress rehearsal for CTFs170/176 TAC Phase ASW scenarios • Meet CTF-34 training objective of operating with CTFs • Draft will be refined in consultation with C3F planners, CTFs 170, 172, 176 and COMSUBPAC WSM planners to address various concerns • Possibility of CTF 170 Blue Water Cert limitation (120 nm) / no fly days • CTF 172 MPRA employment • CTF 176 inner echelon area / Big Deck Amphib distance to shore • Submarine maneuver / STD • FINEX positioning for Photo Ex UNCLASSIFIED
