  2. Pyramid of Numbers • Shows how many organisms are present at each trophic level

  3. Energy Pyramid • Shows how much energy is at each trophic level. • The size of a food chain is limited, because of the amount of energy passed on.

  4. 10% Rule • Only about 10% of the energy in one trophic level passes to the next. • Does this violate the law of conservation of energy? • Where does the energy go?
