  2. Post-trip Update • WFMI Weather module is linked to National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) Asset Management System (NAMS) • User can update post-trip information through WFMI Weather interface • Post-trip Update = Document annual maintenance and repairs

  3. WFMI Weather In the WFMI Weather module, pick Select Station.

  4. Select Station A station can be selected from this list or the Change Selection Criteria button can be chosen. More information about Select Station is in Lesson 4.

  5. Station Page Select NAMS – Post-trip Update on the Station page.

  6. Assign Asset Numbers For stations under a depot, portable return, modified or full ride contract with the Remote Sensing Fire Weather Support Unit (RSFWSU), asset numbers must be assigned. Note: If the station is not under contract with RSFWSU, continue to the Dates field. In the New Asset Number column, the assets ordered from RSFWSU are shown. Select the asset number of the sensor/part that was installed on the station during annual maintenance or repair. If more than one asset was ordered, be sure to select the correct number to assign to that station.

  7. Dates Complete the annual maintenance date, or if this was a repair, fill in the repair date. Tipping bucket zeroed date can be completed, if known.

  8. DCP/Solar Rad DCP program, DCP firmware, and Solar Rad Constant can be completed, as necessary.

  9. Narrative Describe annual maintenance or repair. Include date completed, who performed service, which sensors changed, and additional notes. Name of person entering information, along with the current date, is automatically entered.

  10. Asset Report A RAWS asset report can be emailed to one or more addresses. Click Submit Post-trip Update button if all information on page is complete.

  11. Updates Submitted to NAMS The page shows that the information was submitted to NAMS.

  12. NAMS Asset Report – Post Trip If a NAMS Asset Report was requested, a confirmation will appear on the page. For stations under contract with RSFWSU, the asset report may show multiple sensors for the station. This is due to both old and new sensors assigned to the station. The old sensors will remain assigned to the station until they are shipped and received at RSFWSU and cleared from the order.
