Bayesian Detection of Low Surface Brightness Galaxies

This study explores the use of a Bayesian approach for the detection of low surface brightness galaxies using the generalized Gaussian density and hidden Markov quadtree. Real image results and the application of copulas for multidimensional densities computation are presented. Conclusions and perspectives of the study are discussed.
