  1. ThumpedMegan McCafferty2012Realistic fiction Carmen P. 2nd Period

  2. Setting The settings in this story were Harmony’s baby shower , in the nursery , at the hospital , and at the pharmacy. They all add meaning to the story and is important to the story because the reader knows that a babywill be born in the future. The book will be different if the setting were different by not including the baby.

  3. Characters

  4. Conflict The description of the conflict is Man vs. self because Harmony and Melody are both twin sisters and carry twin babies of their own and when they face a problem, they find out the solution Independently.

  5. Summary of Plot The summary is that Harmony and melody are twins and are both pregnant with twins. They are both famous and have adoring fans. But , harmony is married but, loves another guy. And if she wants to get more popular, she has to tell the truth for herself and her future baby.

  6. Theme • A parent must accept a punishment , with or without a child. • On page 58 in the book, it says that if a parent doesn’t accept a punishment, the child will suffer. • In the book , it says that you/parent must accept a punishment so you will become a better parent • I agree with these quotes because I heard my parents say it.

  7. Point of View The point of view for this book is 3rd person (Limited) because the narrator tells the story through the eyes, mind, & emotions of only one character. The 3rd person (Limited) helps the reader understand the book by how the character feels . And the story would be different by the point of view by the characters words and actions in the book.

  8. Symbolism One of the symbols is a hand stitched quilt. The quilt has halo and heart patterns on it and may symbolize a baby being born . And it affected the story by symbolizing a baby.

  9. Recommendation I recommend not reading this book not worth reading because when I chose this book from the public library , I didn’t know it was for teenagers until I started reading it and there were a lot of words in the book that I did not know and I had to look up in the dictionary. The book was also inappropriate and had inappropriate words in it and I didn’t enjoy it.
