Durant la primera infantesa, fins als 6 o 7 anys, el nen obre totes les seves potències i aplica tots els seus sentits i les seves facultats per adonar-se del món que l’envolta. • Realitza un treball prodigiós potser superior a tot aquell que farà la resta de la seva vida. • Mai és massa aviat per introduir els llibres en la vida dels nens: • Constitueix un mitjà de comunicació entre pares i fills. • Amb un llibre a la mà, el pare parla, mira, acaricia i estableix una comunicació afectuosa amb el nen. • Millora l’adaptació i el rendiment escolar. • Promou habilitats per a la lectura i escriptura. RECOMANACIONS: Escolliu llibres amb temes familiars del món que envolta el nen: els animals, la família, l’escola... Trieu el moment del dia o de la nit per mirar i llegir punts dels llibres. Ho convertiran en un espai de comunicació i afecte. Passeu les pàgines al ritme que imposi el nen, procureu que no s’avorreixi. Quan es cansi, serà millor que ho deixeu per una altra ocasió. Malgrat que encara no llegeixi, no compreu llibres d’imatges exclusivament. Recordeu que vosaltres podeu descobrir històries amb ell. VISITEU AMB ELS VOSTRES FILLS LA BIBLIOTECA. I DISPOSAREU DE CONTES DE TOTA MENA I ASSESORAMENT SOBRE ELS LLIBRES MÉS ADIENTS PER A PETITS I GRANS.
