  3. Three Goals • Reduce the overall need for developmental education • Reduce completion time for most students to one academic year • Increase the number of developmental education students graduating or transferring in four years from 1 in 4 students (25%) to at least 1 in 3 students (33%)

  4. Developmental Mathematics • Content revised to reflect what is needed to be successful in college courses • Content organized into units • New, customized placement and diagnostic instrument (Mathematics VPT)

  7. Developmental English • Structural changed to prevent loss of students in between courses • Content revised to integrate reading and writing curricula • A new placement test that includes writing diagnostic (English VPT)
