  3. OVERVIEW • TEAM PRIORITIES: Service and Support • Greet newcomers, get contact info, give thank you gift • Answer Questions about church and ministries • Guide people to locations in the church • TEAM COMPOSITION • 2 to 3 Members: Lead Host, Host(s)

Times for Service • Lead Host – one per service • Arrive before the start of the service • 25 minutes before the first service to set up area • 20 minutes before the second service to set up area • Stay at least 10 minutes after the service starts • Return to desk 5 minutes before the service ends • Host – one or two per service • Arrive at least 15 minutes before the service starts • Stay at least 5 minutes after the service starts • Return to the desk 5 minutes before the service ends

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESSet Up/Preparation • Scan the bulletin, learn about special events • Where and when, who can attend, how to get further information • Review Sunday School class locations • Especially children’s classes • Review the different church brochures and ministries • Understand what is available, what each targets • Check through supplies and know where things are • Picture church directory (for reference, not distribution) • Connection cards, campus maps, brochures, pens, Bibles and tracts to give away, etc. • Gifts for newcomers • Put on name tag, positive attitude and a smile!

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESService • Give Newcomers TOP priority • Answer their questions • Provide them with relevant church brochures, campus maps, other helpful items • Ask them to provide contact information • ALWAYS GUIDE THEM TO ROOMS, ETC • Visit with them as you walk with them, put out things of interest, say positive things about the church • Introduce them BY NAME to someone at the location you have guided them to

  7. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESService • Regular Attendees • Answer their questions • Receive information and requests. Many of the requests will need to be passed along to Jan. Place a note into the folder marked follow up (include a date) • Encourage, compliment • Accept complaints graciously • Ask them to jot down their thoughts so you can pass it along • Ask them to provide contact information so follow up can be made • ALWAYS GUIDE THEM TO ROOMS, ETC • Visit with them as you walk with them, put out things of interest, say positive things about the church • Introduce them BY NAME to someone at the location you have guided them to

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITESLead Host • BEFORE THE SERVICE • Check bulletin supplies in both lobbies • Remove counter clutter, neatly stack other items • Place “RCBC” pens on the counter • Instruct other host(s) regarding special duties, needs, assignments, events, etc. for the day • AFTER THE SERVICE • 1st service ministry, stay until Sunday School has started • Straighten up area, leave it ready for next team
