Class of 2021Preparing for success beyond high school! • Set Goals for yourself and WRITE THEM DOWN! • CHALLENGE yourself in rigorous courses • Take electives that align with your goals…Its about CHOICES! • Be INVOLVED! • Key Club Chess Club Athletics • Student Council Science Club Band • National Honor Society FCA Orchestra • TAFE Clay Club Choir • Photography Club Culture Club FFA • Make good grades • Take tests seriously • PSAT SAT • EOC TSI

  4. Choosing Your Graduation Program The CHS Class of 2021 will graduate on the HB5 Foundation Graduation Program with an Endorsement or the Foundation Graduation Program with the Distinguished Level of Achievement.

Foundation High School Plan with an Endorsement Credit Requirements 4 English Credits • English I • English II • English III • Advanced English course 4Math Credits • Algebra I • Geometry • 2 Advanced Math course 1 Physical Education credit 1 Fine Arts credit 2 Languages Other Than English • 2 credits in the same language 4Science Credits • Biology • IPC/Chemistry or Physics/Principle of Technology • 2 Advanced Science course 3 Social Studies Credits • World History or World Geography • U.S. History • U.S. Government (1/2 credit) • Economics (1/2 credit) .5 Dollars & Sense .5 Professional Communications 6 Elective Credits • Completing a Program of Study 26 total credits

  6. Foundation Program with Distinguished Level of Achievement Requires same courses as Foundation Program with Endorsements; however, one of the 4 Mathematics credits must be Algebra II Required to be eligible for Top 10% Automatic Admission to Texas Public College or University

  7. Endorsements You must specify in writing an Endorsement area on your Personal Graduation Plan and Course request form during pre-registration. Endorsements areas: • Arts and Humanities • Business and Industry • Public Services • Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) • Multidisciplinary Studies

  8. Programs of Study By the end of your Freshman year of high school, you must select a Program of Study during pre-registration.

Course Requests Are you ready to choose your courses? • Caprock Counselor will be helping you select your courses for next year: • Bowie – Monday, November 21st • Fannin – Tuesday, November 22nd Remember as a Future 9th grader you only have to select an Endorsement. (Arts & Humanities, Business & Industry, Public Service, STEM)
