Summ. of part. transport in ITBs • Clear evidence for the modification of the density profile from flat to peak in the core has been presented by TCV, keeping the ECH deposition profile fixed and modifying only the current profile. The density scalelength R/Ln follows the temperature gradient R/LT at large values of R/LT>10-15: R/Ln0.5 R/LT • It is proposed to characterise various ITB plasmas in a similar format, that is by plotting LT/Ln versus R/LT. This should be performed also for edge transport barriers, since t was pointed out that 1/he~0.5 was also reported earlier by AUG in the pedestal region. • Hoang for Tore Supra, Takenaga for JT-60U, Sauter for TCV and JET will look at the ITB regions, and Angioni for AUG and Casper for DIII-D will look for ITB and ETB data. The measurements should be at the same radius of course and span across the TB region.
