RAMADHAN 1433 MUBARAK Acknowledgement • With the grace of Almighty Allah (swt) and your generous support, once again DAR-UL-MUSLIMEEN CHARITY LANTERN was able to organize Tabligh and Relief programs in the month of Ramadhan 1433 A.H. (2012 A.D.) in Dodoma, Tanzania, as in the past, Alhamdulillah. • May Allah (SWT) bless you and your families for your continued support to the programs that Dar-ul-Muslimeen undertakes and may He amply reward you here and the hereafter.   3. RAMADHAN 1433 MUBARAK FOOD PACKETS TO WIDOWS, ELDERS & NEEDY FAMILIES Food packets worth Sh. 30,000/- each were distributed to 300 widows, senior members, elders and needy families from the Muslim community, in Dodoma.

  4. RAMADHAN 1433 MUBARAK FOOD PACKETS TO SECONDARY SCHOOL MUSLIM STUDENTS Approximately 368 Muslim students from 14 Secondary Schools benefitted from the distribution of Food packets, including rice, sugar, oil, dates, maize flour, tea, pasta, etc. Food donation was also provided to Muslim prisoners at 2 prisons in dodoma city: Msalato and Isanga, including lunch on Eid day.

  5. RAMADHAN 1433 MUBARAK FOOD PACKETS TO ORPHANAGES Food packets and clothes were provided to two orphanages – Muzdalifa and Rahman - in Dodoma and one orphanage at Kondoa – Hafidh Islamic Center.

  6. RAMADHAN 1433 MUBARAK ASSISTANCE AND GIFTS TO HOSPITALS & ORPHANAGES Alhamdulillah, it was spiritually uplifting and heartening experience for Dar-ul-Muslimeen Primary School students this Holy Ramadhan. They collected clothes, shoes, books, food and money to help their brothers and sisters at Muzdalifa Orphanage and Rahman Orphanage in Dodoma. They also visited the Dodoma Regional Hospital to see the patients and donate food stuff and sundry items to the sick. While the Orphanages were overwhelmed with joy and excitement to see their brethren bring for them gifts in this blessed month, the patients at the hospital including the nurses and doctors were astounded to see young angels descend in the ward rooms to greet the patients and pray for their well-being while distributing food stuff. “Today I felt that I have fasted in real sense”, said a student, “I hope I could do the same every day. Isn’t the spirit of Ramadhan visiting and helping the needy, after all”.    

  7. RAMADHAN 1433 MUBARAK SATURDAY SEMINARS FOR MADRASSAH TEACHERS (UMADO) As every year in Holy Ramadhan, Dar-ul-Muslimeen organized weekend Seminars for Madrassah Teachers on every Saturday of the Holy Ramadhan. Four papers were presented in every Saturday Seminar for Madrassah Teachers which included: Psychology and Teaching Madrassah Children, Importance of Teaching Aids, Moral Lessons on Fasting, and QuranicTafseer. 78 teachers attended this important educative workshop. After the daylong discussions on various papers, packets of food for iftar were distributed to all the participants of the seminar every Saturday. The Islamic Knowledge teacher of Msalato Girls Secondary School, Mama Mwinchumuthanked Dar-ul-Muslimeen for arranging this highly educative seminars and urged the Madrassah teachers to put more effort in teaching Quran and Islamic Knowledge in the Madaris.

  8. RAMADHAN 1433 MUBARAK SUNDAY SEMINARS FOR MUSLIM WOMEN Similar to past year, Dar-ul-Muslimeen also organized weekend Seminars for Muslim Ladies on every Sunday of the Holy Ramadhan. Four papers were presented in the Sunday Seminars for Muslim Ladies which included: Islamic Laws on Fasting, Lessons from Islamic History, Strengthening of Beliefs in Ramadhan, and Fruits of Fasting. The response was overwhelming, as more than 400 ladies participated every Sunday in this highly successful seminar. After the daylong discussions on various papers, packets of food for iftar were distributed to all the participants of the seminars. The Secretary of BAKWATA, Sheikh MussaKazmiri thanked Dar-ul-Muslimeen for arranging this highly educative seminar and prayed for unity of all the Muslims in the month of Ramadhan.

RAMADHAN 1433 MUBARAK JUZU AMMA HIFDH PROGRAM FOR AL-QAEM SEMINARY STUDENTS In the month of Holy Ramadhan, Al-Qaem Seminary - a Secondary School run by Dar-ul-Muslimeen Dodoma, Tanzania - organized JuzuAmmaHifdh Program including Kiswahili translation for its students. The Hifdh program included all small suras from JuzuAmma starting reversely from Surat An-Naas up to Surat Al-Burooj.    One day before Eid, cash prizes of TShs. 9000/- was awarded to all the students who memorized all the above 30 suras with its Kiswahili translation. The program which aims at motivating the students to learn Quran with its full understanding in Holy Ramadhan - a month in which the Holy Quran was revealed – is organized every year in Dar-ul-Muslimeen Schools, Alhamdulillah. According to the Holy Prophet (saww): “The thawab (reward) of reciting one ayah in the month of Ramadhan is equivalent to reciting the whole Quran”.

RAMADHAN 1433 MUBARAK EID GIFTS TO ORPHANS AND NEEDY CHILDREN One day before the Eid, on Saturday 29th Ramadhan (18/08/2012), Dar-ul-Muslimeen distributed gifts to 48 orphans, to allow them celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr together with their fellow brethren, without feeling dejected. While the guardians of the orphans thanked the donors profusely for their timely gifts, the shining faces of the orphans could hardly conceal their happiness.    Cash Eid Gifts were also given to Dar-ul-Muslimeen Primary School students who fasted all the days in the month of Ramadhan.

  11. RAMADHAN 1433 MUBARAK IFTAR AND DUA PROGRAMS AT HAWZA & MASJID IMAM MAHDI (AS) Program of Dua-e-Iftetah, Khitma of Quran and Iftar was conducted at Dar-ul-Muslimeen Hawza every night of Ramadhan. While the program was held at Masjid Imam Mahdi (as) during the nights of LaylatulQadr and Wiladat/Wafat.

  12. RAMADHAN 1433 MUBARAK UJI (PORRIDGE) PROGRAM IN MASAJID Special UJI (porridge) was prepared and provided to different Masajid in Dodoma every night after SalatulMaghrib. Almost 12 Masajid benefitted from this program.

RAMADHAN 1433 MUBARAK SEMINAR & FOOD PACKETS FOR IMAMS OF MASAJID Approximately 56 participants including Imams and executive members of Dodoma (Tanzania) Masajid attended in one day Ramadhan seminar organized by Dar-ul-Muslimeen on Saturday 11th August 2012 (22nd Ramadhan 1433) in collaboration with ‘ShurayaMaimamu, Dodoma’. A total of 3 papers were presented including ‘Responsibility of Muslim Leaders’ by Brother Athuman Brambath, ‘Reconciliation of Communal Conflicts’ by Sheikh Abubakar Mohamed and ‘Da’wah Work in Ramadhan’ by Sheikh Abdinnasir Juma. Active discussion followed after every paper, and at the end of program an important resolution was passed to strengthen ‘ShurayaMaimamu’ to increase Da’wah Work to solve challenges faced by the believers in this complicated materialistic world. Food packets for Iftar and copies of Holy Quran were distributed to the participants in the end followed by dua.         

  14. RAMADHAN 1433 MUBARAK ‘FRUITS OF FASTING’ LECTURE SERIES AT RADIO NYEMO ‘SautiyaAhlulbayt Dar-ul-Muslimeen’ has organized ‘Fruits of Fasting’ series in this month of Holy Ramadhan, with ‘NYEMO FM’, local radio station in Dodoma, Tanzania. The Radio station which spreads to three regions from Dodoma to Singida to Iringa in Tanzania has a wide coverage, and messages of appreciation has started to pour in since its inception in the month of Ramadhan, Alhamdulillah. The series which is broadcasted every day from 5 – 6:00 p.m. local time is coordinated by Brother Hussein Karume with series of lectures by ‘MadrasatAhlulbayt Dar-ul-Muslimeen’ teachers including Sheikh MurtadhaSuleman, Sheikh MussaKalasa, Sheikh YassinAbdalla, Sheikh Mohamed Mnyeto, and Sheikh Muslim Bhanji. The main aim of this series is to impart messages and important teachings of Ahlulbayt in the month of Ramadhan. SautiyaAhlulbayt which started its broadcast last year with local station ‘Radio Kifimbo’ transferred to ‘Radio Nyemo 97.7 FM’ station in the month of Ramadhan due to its wide coverage.
