Using Blackboard for e-learning Advantages: • Provide flexible and accessible learning resources • Can engage and motivate students • Fosters interaction and collaboration • Effective and efficient teaching tool Disadvantages: • Dependent on IT access and skills • Can foster superficial learning • Can frustrate, isolate and de-motivate students • May be time-consuming to utilise Application must be differentiated dependent on curriculum, students, staff time and resources
