  2. About fats. • Fat is something found in foods, and it’s the most concentrated kind of energy that a human can use. It has 9 kilocalories in one gram. • There are 3 types of fats. Saturated, unsaturated, and trans fat. .Fat is important for the human body because it gives much energy and helps the body use the vitamins in the food.

  3. Effects of overconsumption. After 3-5 hours after the high-fat meal, the health of a blood vessel’s function becomes very abnormal.  A study carried out on 80,082 women over 14 years, showed that the chances of developing coronary heart disease doubled with every 2 percent increase in the energy intake from trans fatty acids. There is enough evidence to prove that trans fatty acid intake during pregnancy has a highly damaging effect in development and growth of the infants.

  4. How to reduce intake of fats. Stick to low fat meats such as fish, chicken, turkey and lean cuts of beef. Stop eating junk food. This will solve a lot more than cutting out fat. Most junk food whether it is a snack or fast food is loaded with enough fat to cover your needs for a few days. Bake instead of fry. Baking requires a lot less oil. The same goes for snack foods. There are now a lot of brands of potato chips that aren't fried but baked.
