Your Grid Software? Central European Certification Testbed infrastructure is open for everyone who is willing to migrate their software to EGEE middleware. We are eager to take your products and help with integration onto production level grid. If you are interested please visit Certification Testbed web page to find out how to proceed. It is a full-functional replica of EGEE production grid infrastructure created for testing and validation of software components that are integrated by Central European region. Resources are distributed among Poland (CYFRONET), Czech Republic (CESNET) and Austria (GUP-JKU). Communities from Central European region require to extend grid middleware to enrich grid functionality by installing new components. The objective behind Central European Certification Testbed infrastructure was to provide developers, especially from other grid projects with an easy way to integrate new software to EGEE middleware and test their solutions in production-like environment and incorporate into production grid later on. Certification Testbed provides environment to adapt the software to EGEE middleware, package it in order to easily relocate onto other grid machines, then integrate with EGEE policies of deployment and configuration tools in order to facilitate deployment in grid. EGEE provides production level, stable grid infrastructure, thus we test the overall infrastructure stability (including new services) against EGEE policies. If successful, regionally customized middleware release is deployed within the region triggered along with each EGEE release cycle. • So far we integrated the following grid software to EGEE middleware: • OCM-G – performance monitoring system for applications (supports MPICH applications) • G-PM – performance visualization tool • GLOGIN - interactive login to grid machines based on X.509 certificates. • MPI – we enabled support for parallel applications PACKAGING pack into portable format e.g. rpm DEPLOYMENT INTEGRATION comply to EGEE deploy & config scheme Bratislava-IISAS PACKAGING pack into portable format e.g. rpm STABILITY VALIDATION check software functionality & infrastr. stability Production Grid Prague-CESNET PACKAGING pack into portable format e.g. rpm Vienna-HEPHY Production-level grid in Central Europe spans across 14 computing centers providing over 1000 CPUs. The resources are used by scientists from a spectrum ofscientific disciplines. Our regional virtual organization (VOCE) allows access for people willing to get familiar with grid or test their own applications. It also provides additional software packages for MPI users and portal access to the grid resources.
