Introduction • For approximately two months, 5th and 6th grade Primary students from Santa Maria la Blanca School in Barcience, Spain, have done the work we present here about the use of Apps in our school, in different jobs that the inhabitants of our area performand in leisure time. • To get the results that you are about to see, we have interviewed about 60 people.

  3. Educational Apps • First, we will present the knowledge of educational Apps that the teachers of our school have and the Apps they use. • Then, we will explain 3 of the Apps most used in our classes.

  5. Educational Apps Do you think Apps improve students learning? Likewise, all teachers surveyed think that Apps help improve students learning.

  6. Educational Apps What of the following Apps do you know? The Apps best known by the teachers of the Spanish partner school are ClassDojo , Plickers and Kahoot! Edpuzzle is also quite popular.

  7. Educational Apps What of the following Apps do you use? The Apps most used by the teachers of the Spanish partner school are ClassDojo and Plickers. Kahott !, Edpuzzle and Quizlet are also quite used by them.

  8. Educational Apps Next, we are going to present some of the most used Apps in our school: • Jeopardy • Plickers • ClassDojo

  9. Educational Apps Jeopardy The Jeopardy Review Game has been designed to make it the perfect review game for a wide variety of classroom uses. This tool is a fun and interactive way to review content at school.

  10. Educational Apps Jeopardy Each game has at least three categories. The games can be played alone or in teams.

  11. Educational Apps Jeopardy Each team chooses a category and the number of points they bet. The questions that make you get more points are more difficult.

  12. Educational Apps plickers Plickers is a free tool that can be managed through the website or from the mobile or tablet application. It presents multiple choice questions to students. To answer these questions, students have to use a card associated with each one that contains a special code.

  13. Educational Apps plickers According to the answer they want to give (A, B, C or D) they must turn it one way or another and each one is different from the others.

  14. Educational Apps plickers Next, they have to pick up their card with the code of the answer they think is correct. All the teacher has to do is focus his smartphone with the Plickers application installed to the students a few seconds and the system recognizes all the answers, transferring the information to the computer that is automatically projected.

  15. Educational Apps classdojo ClassDojo helps teachers improve behaviuor in their classrooms quickly and easily. Capture and generate data on behaviours that teachers can share with the parents of their students.

  16. Educational Apps classdojo Teachers can use this application to inform their students of their positive behaviuor and manage their classes, while parents can review the child's progress at school.

  17. Educational Apps classdojo Each student is assigned a nice monster. In addition, the App has other tools such as timer, countdown, noise metre or music player to work in class.

  18. Apps used in jobs • Next, we present the results of the research we have done on the use of Apps in different jobs. • In addition, we have also chosen 3 Apps that are used in different jobs and that have caught our attention. We are going to explain how they work.

  19. Apps used in jobs Do you use Apps for Smartphone in your job? Almost 70% of the people who were interviewed said they use Apps for Smartphone in their jobs.

  20. Apps used in jobs Do you use computer Apps in your job? The number of people who use computer applications in their jobs is even higher.

  21. Apps used in jobs Do you think Apps for Smartphone and computer tools make your work easier? Most people who answered the survey think that Apps for Smartphone or computer make their work easier. Only 7% of the women who answered this question think they are not useful.

Most of the people surveyed use office applications such as Microsoft Office, email, etc. Collaborative tools, which allow several people to work on the same task at the same time and share information, are also widely used.

  24. Apps used in jobs google classroom One of the people we interviewed is a university professor and used this tool in her work. Google Classroom makes teaching more productive. Educators can create classes, distribute assignments, send feedback, and see everything in one place. Classroom also integrates with other Google tools like Google Docs and Drive.

Apps used in jobs google classroom Among its benefits we find: -Easy setup: Teachers can set up a class, invite students and co-teachers. -Saves time and paper. -Better organization: Students can see assignments on the To-do page. -Enhanced communication and feedback. -Works with apps you use. -Affordable and secure.

  26. Apps used in jobs Flstudio Another person we interviewed works as a DJ and uses FL Studio. This App allows musicians and Disc Jockeys create and save complete multi-track music projects on their Android Phone or Tablet. In addition they can record, sequence, edit, mix and render complete songs.

  27. Apps used in jobs Flstudio This App includes: • High quality synthesizers, sampler and drum kits. • Configurable virtual piano-keyboard and Drums. • Audio recording. • Volume, release and attack time configurable per instrument • Mixer. • Sounds effects.

  28. Apps used in jobs asana Asana is the work management platform that teams use to stay focused on the goals, projects and daily tasks that make the company grow. It serves to organize your work because it allows you to plan and structure the work in the most appropriate way, this establishes priorities and deadlines and also shares details and assigns tasks.

  29. Apps used in jobs asana It allows to follow the projects and the tasks in all the stages, to know how the work progresses and to guide everyone towards the same objectives. It also helps to create plans, detect risks and meet deadlines.

  30. Apps used in leisure time • In this last part of our research work, we have discovered that people of all ages use Apps as a way to spend their leisure time. • We will show the types of Apps most used during free time and we will talk about 3 of them.

  31. Apps used in leisure time What of the following devices do you use in your free time? Almost all the people interviewed, of all age groups, use their Smartphone during their leisure time. In addition, among people who are up to 17 years old, they prefer video games for their free time, while people older than 18 years old use the computer a lot.

  33. Apps used in leisure time Do you think Apps help you spend your free time in a pleasant way? Most people believe that Apps for Smartphone helps them to spend their free time in a pleasant way

  34. Apps used in leisure time Do you think Apps help you spend your free time profitably? People between 18 and 30 think that smartphone apps do not help them spend their free time profitably. Those under 18 and those over 30 do consider that the time spent using Apps is profitable.

  35. Apps used in leisure time Entertainment/Games How much do you use Entertainment and Game Apps? The age group under 18 is the one that most uses this type of applications. In contrast, more than half of people over 30 never use them.

  36. Apps used in leisure timeSocial networking Apps How much do you use Social networking Apps? 3 out of 4 people who answered the survey use social networks pretty or a lot during their free time. People under 18 are the ones who use them the most.

  37. Apps used in leisure timeProductivity Apps How much do you use Productivity Apps? All age groups use this type of Apps pretty or very much, especially people between 18 and 30 years old. 1 out of 3 people under 18 use them very little.

  38. Apps used in leisure timeCreative Apps How much do you use Creative Apps? Those under 18 make a big difference in the use of this type of Apps (78% use them pretty or a lot). Half of people between 18 and 30 years also use them pretty or a lot, while only 30% of those over 30 say they use them often.

People over 30 are the ones who use this type of Apps the most, followed very closely by the group of people between 18 and 30 years old. In contrast, 70% of those under 18 use them little, very little or nothing.

  41. Apps used in leisure time Worldtravel Word Travel is a fun crosswords and word search App. This App helps keep your mind in shape and tests your vocabulary. In addition, it offers high-quality images of more than 100 landscapes from around the world. The game consists of filling all the blanks horizontally and vertically.

Apps used in leisure time RUNTASTIC The Runtastic App records your sports activities such as running, jogging, cycling and hiking, using GPS technology to help you adopt healthy habits and achieve your goals.People use it when they run because it indicates the distance travelled, the calories consumed, the time they have spent, etc.

Apps used in leisure time Instagram Instagram is an Social network App. It allows its users to upload any type of photos and videos, with the option of applying various photographic effects, such as filters or frames, to share them not only on Instagram, but also on other social networks such as Facebook or Twitter.

  44. Our personal conclusion • Apps and computer tools have become commonplace in all areas of our lives. We use them to learn, to control our health, to work or to spend our free time in a pleasant way. • Despite the importance that these applications have gained in our everyday life, we must be responsible and use them properly.
