  1. Intro To Confirmation

  2. Common Responses • Catholic graduation • Becoming an Adult in the faith • Choosing your faith for your own • My parents want me / I’ll get a car if I get confirmed What Is Confirmation To You?

  3. Somewhere we go on Christmas and Easter • Something we do on Sundays • The religion that I choose to associate with • A place with a super awesome youth minister!!! What Is The Catholic Church To You?

  4. It is: • “the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of truth.” (1Timothy 3:15) • One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic • The Kingdom of God here on earth • The source of Grace and Salvation • The place where we meet God in an intimate way This is what the Catholic Church is to me (and itself)

  5. The sweet thing about the Catholic Church is that we are unified all over the world with our home in Rome!! Rome Sweet Home!!

  6. Confirmation is the completion of the Sacrament of Baptism. ”the reception of the sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace. For ‘by the sacrament of Confirmation, [the baptized] are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence they are, as true witnesses of Christ, more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed.’”(CCC 1285) What Is Confirmation?

  7. Through Baptism we are made Son’s and Daughter’s of God. “Incorporated into Christ by Baptism, the person baptized is configured to Christ. Baptism seals the Christian with the indelible spiritual mark (character) of his belonging to Christ. No sin can erase this mark, even if sin prevents Baptism from bearing the fruits of salvation.83 Given once for all, Baptism cannot be repeated.” It got me WET!!! What Did Baptism Do For Me?

  8. So Confirmation is bringing us closer to God!!! It gives us the graces to preach the gospel fearlessly and with abandon for the greater glory of God!!
