  16. RTBM Analysis • Reminder to submit an RMS Ticket for any questions • June 29th – July 1st MCP and LMP prices strayed due to the regulation selection process in the test environment. Enough resources were selected to regulate but CMODES didn’t change on those resources since this is a test environment. Therefore RTBM wasn’t able to regulate with the resources selected and shortages occurred. SPP did true up the CMODES to reflect production but there were multiple uploads that effected SPPs process for trueing up CMODES. • July 2nd LMPs and MCPs closely correlated with production prices Gentry Crowson

  17. Settlements (6/28 – 7/4) • Meter Submittals – Reviewed OD 7/1 meter submittal and seeing an increase in the past week of exports and load but generation remains steady – Big jump in negative calibration • BSS Submittals continue to look great! • Everything is up to date and posted on schedule. • Posted Invoice 7/9: Included 14 Operating Days 7 Initials, 7 Finals. Please review! David Daniels

  18. Settlements – Daily Calibration • Calibration is DAILY calibration and represents the whole Operating Day. • Total Interchange shows increase in net Exports starting 6/28, but have seen in past around that amount • Total load jumped on 7/1 by roughly 15K MWh with no increase on generation side resulting in large negative calibration amounts. Injection: Import/Generation (-) or Withdrawal: Export/Load (+) David Daniels

  19. Settlements – Meter Submittal • Spike in missing meter result of SPP error with Commercial Model • Approximately 130 MDSL’s. This varies as new commercial models are implemented (MDSL’s added/terminated) • Please double check any 7/1 Commercial Model changes – New/terminated Meter Data Submittal Locations (MDSL’s) David Daniels

  20. Tagging ExerciseShari Brown

  21. Tagging Exercise - Purpose Allow Each MP to ensure that their tagged transactions will be valid beginning October 1st • Not all transactions were entered during Market Trials • Market Trials tags were not expected to be representative of all Real-Time SPP Business Practices • Numerous Modeling changes have been made during Market Trials causing confusion • Minimize surprises for first Operating Day tag approval processes Shari Brown

  22. Tagging Exercise - Overview All MP are expected to participate, regardless of successful tags during Market Trials • Week of August 24th • Tuesday thru Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST • Pick the best times for your schedulers to participate • MP are not expected to participate every day • SPP staff will evaluate each tag for SPP Business Practice Validations • SPP staff will approve or deny tag • Tag for exercise will not pass to test settlement statements Shari Brown

  23. Tagging Exercise - Scenario MP will enter Tags for one operating day in October. SPP ITE will be populated with Real Time TSRs already existing in Production. • Use the same URL as was used for Market Trials • Only one tag of each transaction type is expected • Tag can be for any number of hours. One hour is fine. • No Day Ahead Transaction needed. No Market Section Data • Not necessary to match load expectations • Do not exceed “energy MWs” approved for the TSR Shari Brown

  24. Tagging Exercise – Pre-work To allow MP to move through Scenario as easily and quickly as possible, SPP staff will research with each MP any known issues for tags currently entered for Market Trials. Prior to the exercise, SPP staff and MP will work together to: • Verify existence of any and all expected confirmed TSR in ITE • Add and approve any additional TSRs not copied from Production • Determine corrections needed to Market Trial Tags • Determine Physical Path of any transactions not tagged in MT • Determine if MP plans to use any GFA TSR for scheduling Shari Brown

  25. SPP Business Practice Validations Verified During Market Trials: • Internal Tags invalid in SPP Integrated Marketplace • Legacy BA invalid if used as GCA/LCA • SPP Market Bid/Offer • SPP Market Entity – Valid customer (MP/AO) on TSR • SPP Market Location – Valid settlement location mapping • Market Loss rules • Market Timing rules Shari Brown

  26. SPP Business Practice Validations Ignored Verifications during Market Trials: • Invalid AREF, NERC Priority, Status for TSR used on Tag • Invalid use of Market Import Service • Invalid source/sink, POR/POD, Energy mw relating to TSR • Invalid DC tie Physical Path • Invalid Scheduling Entities • Invalid Tag Physical path connectivity NOTE: These validations will be enforced during Tag Exercise Shari Brown

  27. Special Notes: • Unlike during Market Trials, SPP will enforce ALL necessary Business Practice Validations during the Tag Exercise • SPP cannot verify ATC in the ITE system. Be aware that the ATC verification is turned off in ITE, so TSR are not checked for available Transmission like they will be in the real world • Availability of Ramp cannot accurately be checked with so few tags in the ITE. If MP would like to practice Ramp Reservation, this can be arranged via a special training session during the Exercise Week • Recommended but not required, additional Short Term TSR may be entered to experience timing rules. Including but not limited to MIS Service • MP should review the Interchange Scheduling Reference Manual. This may help determine questions that you may want to ask before Go-Live Shari Brown

  35. Scheduling: Submitting Tags • IS MPs will need to submit tags in MTE for the entire IS Integrated Market Trials Testing period • MPs will submit tags each week starting the week of May 11 through the week of July 17 • IS MPs will need to submit their tags each week on Tuesday and Wednesday between 1:00 – 3:00 CPT for the next day’s DA Process • IS MPs can submit tags for up to 7 days in the future • Submit tags with source/sinks that have been registered • The link to the ITE e-Tag is https://demo.spp.oati.com/

  36. Scheduling: TSR Approvals Transmission Service Requests (TSR) are submitted through the SPP OASIS (Open Access Same-Time Information System) so eligible transmission customers can request transmission service. • Long Term TSRs will need to be entered into SPP’s MTE environment prior to submitting tags. • If the customer chooses to test short term point-to-point TSR or Market Import Service (MIS); • They can enter those TSRs between 8:00 and 10:00 (CST) on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to be approved and ready for test tagging in the afternoon on those days. • The URL to submit your TSRs is https://demo.oasis.oati.com/
