  1. The 21th Annual International Conference on Composites /Nano Engineering (ICCE-21) TENERIFE, CANARY ISLANDS, SPAIN, 21-27 JULY 2013 Symposium on: “Electrodeposited composite materials for advanced technologies” • PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR ABSTRACTS TO: • SymposiumOrganizers: • Prof. J. Sort (Chair) • jordi.sort@uab.cat • Dr. E. Pellicer (Co-Chair) • Eva.pellicer@uab.cat • CatalanInstitutionforResearch and AdvancedStudies (ICREA), • AutonomousUniversity of Barcelona • 08193 Bellaterra (Spain) • http://jsort-icrea.uab.cat/index.htm • Chairman of ICCE-21: • Prof.D. Hui dhui@uno.edu • This symposium aims to become a forum to share the state-of-the-art in the field of electrodeposited composite films/nanostructures, their structural characterization, the resulting synergetic functional properties and the emerging technological applications of these fascinating materials. • Topics include (but are not limited to): • Novel approaches for the electrodeposition of metal-ceramic and metal-polymer composite coatings. • Nanoelectrochemistry applied to the growth of nanotubes, nanosheets, nanoparticles and other nano-objects. • Advanced tools for the characterization of composite electrodeposited materials. • Enhanced physical/chemical properties: tribology/mechanical performance, corrosion resistance, magnetism... • Innovative applications based on electrodeposited composite materials: MEMS/NEMS, catalysis, energy harvesting, …
