  1. What Happens During Laser Teeth Whitening Procedure?

  2. Nowadays, there are many procedures available in the market to whiten one’s teeth. Teeth whitening may be done at home with the use of over-the-counter teeth whitening products or whitening dental kits prescribed by dentists;

  3. or it may be done inside a dental clinic with a professional assistance. In-office teeth whitening procedure produces better results in as early as one hour as compared to over-the-counter teeth whitening products which takes weeks to see the results.

  4. In-office teeth whitening procedure often uses the laser technology to speed up the whitening process. This treatment is also called the laser teeth whitening procedure.

  5. What happens during the laser teeth whitening procedure?First the dentist will have to professionally clean your teeth to remove unwanted dental debris. Then, he/she will have to record the pre-whitening color of your teeth to serve as a comparison after the procedure.

  6. Your dentist will have to ask you to wear protective goggles to protect your eyes from laser light.With the cheek retractor still inside your mouth, a gingival barrier is placed between your teeth and gums.

  7. A laser light is shone for approximately 30-40 seconds to harden the barrier in place. The whitening gel is then generously applied to each teeth surface in both your upper and lower teeth.

  8. Whitening process is then activated with the use of laser light shone to the treated teeth for a specified time depending on the clinic’s protocol or the whitening product use. After the specified time, the gel is suctioned from each teeth surface and this process is repeated for 2-4 cycles.

  9. Then the teeth are cleaned after finishing the last cycle and the teeth are compared to the pre-whitening color to see its dramatic results.http://allstardentaloffice.com
