  6. current FUNDING Partners • David B. Lichtenstein Foundation: Established in 1947. Charitable contributions in St. Louis and Columbia. • MU Children’s Hospital: Central Missouri’s largest and most comprehensive health care facility dedicated to caring for children.

  7. past FUNDING Partners • Boone Electric Community Trust: More than $2.7 million given back to the community since establishment in 1997. • Boonslick Kiwanis Club of Columbia: Organized in 1966, this service organization is “dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.”

  9. Challenges • Logistics • Timing • Allergic and other reactions • Health concerns • Unable to vaccinate some children at school • Significant time commitment during an already busy season

Successes • Gained trust of schools and parents • Program expansion and growth • Local physicians praise program for reduced office visits • Increased community partnership • More children protected against influenza • Reduced absenteeism • Also vaccinate children (18 and under) free in our clinic
