  3. INTRODUCTION

  4. Survey camp is a basic necessity camp for civil engineering students to comprehend how an engineering plan is created. • UMP civil engineering students are compulsory to attend the 10 days surveying camp duringthe end of the first year holiday.

  5. During the camp, students are given tasks like producing plan details of a particular area and using these information for designing and planning purposes. • UMP students will have the opportunity to learn and take some experience that will help them in the future.

  6. RESEARCH OBJECTIVE 1. To investigate the facilities that help UMP students to enjoy for doing surveying camp. 2. To determined a way to encourage UMP students to join the surveying camp.

  7. RESEARCH QUESTIONS 1. What are the facilities that help UMP students to enjoy for doing surveying camp? 2. What are the benefits to encourage the students to join the surveying camp?

  8. Methodology • The method of questionnaire is used. • 30 participants from year 2 to year 4 civil engineering students is responded this questionnaire.

  9. RESULT

  10. The analysis is similar to McCormac(2004)

  11. There are one similar finding with Martin (2005)

  12. Conclusion Our research had successfully achieved the objective of the research. The functional of the instrument and the safety is very important during the camp. The surveying camp sure continue conducted since it brings a lot of benefit during such as teamwork, communication and leadership skill.
