  3. Nobility- The czar and other aristocrats. Only the Czar has significant political power. Clergy- Priests, Bishops, monks and other members of the Church Russia. In Russia it is Eastern Orthodox Christianity. A few were important, the bishops and archbishops. Most lived hard lives. Serfs- Peasants, the lower working classes, had to obey the Nobility and Clergy. Lived hard lives with little or no privilege. Intellectuals- Educated individuals who wrote and talked about ways to improve Russia.

  4. Revolution- A sudden or dramatic event or series of events which changes the social structure, the culture, or the government of a group of people.
