  2. Objective • Given information about vowels such as upper and lower case letters and short and long vowels, students will be able to identify different vowels and their characteristics. Students will take a quiz where they will be tested on this information. A E I O U

  3. Audience • This lesson is intended for second grade students who want to learn more and about vowels. • Children will need a computer to do the activity.

  7. Why are vowels important? • Vowels are in every word! • Knowing about vowels will help us sound out words and know what different words mean.

  8. The alphabet has five vowels, A E I O U. Get ready to learn about the sounds they make and how they form words!
