  3. Repented, confessed, and acted on faith • Her actions posed great risk to herself • Was willing to forsake everything she had known, & she didn’t know all of what it would’ve meant to (Cf. Lk. 9:62) • Was spoken to sternly about consequences of actions and she heeded (Josh. 2:17-21) Rahab the Harlot Shall Live

Is commended for her active faith, but she did lie (Josh. 2:1-7) • What she expressed in faith, demonstrated more faith than some of the Israelites (Josh. 2:8-11) • Referred to as a harlot, will always be remembered as that; but she didn’t let her past define her (Josh. 2:1; 6:17; Heb. 11:31) • The 1st trial Rahab dealt with was the sin of Achan (Josh. 6:18-19; 7:1-26) Rahab the Harlot Shall Live

  5. Everyone in Jericho heard, but Rahab acted (Josh. 2:11-12) • The story of Rahab would have brought humility for people of God • She was essentially told, “You obey God, you and your family will be saved” (Josh. 2:12-14) Rahab the Harlot Shall Live
