Investment in statistics to meet the need for resources to match the demand of users to decision-makers • Main tools for investment in statistics: • “Strategic Road Map for the prospects of the national economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan” approved by the Presidential Decree dated 6 December, 2016 • “The State Program on Improvement of the Official Statistics in the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2018-2025” , drafting 3

The institutional reforms on developments of the integrated system for for the production of statistics • “Strategic Road Map for the prospects of the national economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan” approved by the Presidential Decree dated 6 December, 2016 • Intented action • Improvement of the statistical infrastructure • Expected outcomes • providing the national statistical system with necessary resources • integrating of information systems • eliminating of duplication in the field of statistics activity • reducing the burden on respondents • improving the efficiency of data collection and dissemination among the government agencies • existing most powerful statistical infrastructure that would allow to conduct important analyzes in the decision-making process 4

Modernization of statistical business processes “The State Program on Improvement of the Official Statistics in the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2018-2025” • Intented action • The Generic Statistical Busines Process Model (GSBPM) automatization of Expected outcomes • Coordination of statistical activities • Standardization of the statistical business processes • Reduction loss of time and cost spent on the preparation of the data • Increasingstatistical efficiency 5

Creation of opportunities for the using of administrative data 3 working groups was established under the State Statistical Committee in order to take necessary measuresin accordance with administrative data in the following domains: • to eliminate duplication on data submitted to government agencies • to enlarge usage of administrative data in official statistics • to align methodologically applicable indicators by statistical domains for official statistics and reviewing SDGs • to integration of the administrative data to the SSC’s database 6
