  1. Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons Nickolas Stewart May 23, 2011 World History Period 8

  2. Nuclear Weapons Threat to World Peace If the proliferation of nuclear weapons had stopped, the world would have less conflict. The reason why I say this is because if nuclear weapons had never been created than countries would be less threatening towards other nations and would prevent more wars from occurring.

  3. Maps This map is based on countries whom had possessed nuclear weapons in the year of 2005 and may pose a threat to other countries. One of the major countries that had possessed a pretty large amount of warheads(nuclear weapons) was China.

  4. This photo shown to the left is of a nuke that is ready to be launched Images The photo to the left is a picture of a nuclear weapon ready to be launched. The photo to the left is of a cartoon that has North Korea threaten ing another country. The photo shown above is of the generic design elements of a modern Nuclear weapon.

  5. Facts The evolution of missiles had began in the 800s by the Chinese just as gunpowder was. Missiles are now the latest generation of nuclear weapons. The scientists involved in the creation of the atomic bomb were very concerned about its development. So the scientists had tried to convince the president(Truman) to call for an international agreement on its use.

  6. Argument To Prevent events like 9/11 from happening, all the countries of the world should try and come to an agreement that prevents the creation of nuclear weapons to try and eradicate war.

  7. Supporting Ideas If there were no nuclear weapons in the world every nation would feel less threatened. A perfect example of how to describe this would be Brinkmanship. Which was what we had learned about in class, and was about how countries had nuclear weapons and were afraid to use them because they had been afraid of the nation whom was the victim of the attack would retaliate. I would say that this was a good thing because it had caused nations to not attack one another. Like durring the Cold War for example.

  8. Quiz Questions Question 1: When had the Evolution of missiles began? Question 2:Which country in the year of 2005 had 410 nuclear warheads? What is now known as the latest generation of nuclear weapons?
