    3. ENABLING LEARNING OBJECTIVE ACTION: Occupy a Patrol Base CONDITIONS: The unit will occupy a patrol base in preparation for its next mission. The patrol provides its own security. Both friendly and enemy units have indirect fire capabilities. STANDARDS: The unit occupies a Patrol Base in accordance with FM 3-21.8

    14. ENABLING LEARNING OBJECTIVE ACTION: Conduct Patrol Base Activities CONDITIONS: The patrol is given the mission to conduct Patrol Base Activities. The enemy is capable of attacking with a platoon size element. The unit is under stress and is fatigued due to the lack of sleep and food. STANDARDS: Conduct Patrol Base Activities in accordance with FM 3-21.8.
