  14. What if I Fail a Required Course? You must repeat the course either in Summer School or the following year.

  15. What if I Fail a Required Exam? You must pass the exam in order to graduate. An exam preparation course or AIS will be put into your schedule (when available) to help you to pass the examination.

  16. What is an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors? The highest diploma distinction you can receive in high school. You must attain an overall average of 90% or higher on the required regents examination.

  17. What are Honors Level Classes? More work, more independence, weighted grade Higher caliber classes within a required discipline Honors classes begin in grade 10 and require an application

  18. Why take Honors classes? • Colleges recognize that students who take honors level classes are better prepared for college and are willing to challenge themselves. • Honors classes carry a weight of 1.04 and AP classes carry a weight of 1.06 which is used for class rank and G.P.A.

  20. Can I go to BOCES? You must earn at least 11 credits through grade 10 to go to BOCES in grade 11 Entrance into BOCES Programs is becoming more competitive each year. You cannot go to BOCES before grade 11
