  1. In England, executions were more fun and games to themiddle-aged, Victorian and Danish people. The public executions were their form of entertainment! The main form used in the middle ages was hanging, but later new methods, such as beheading, were made public. In England, the death penalty was used on a regular basis, especially during the Tudor times, when the most basic of crimes could get your head on the block! Many people enjoyed watching executions... And many people liked carrying out executions!!!

  2. There are thousands of ways to be executed, but the following are what we consider to be the worst—Enjoy! INTENTH PLACE - FIRING SQUAD Compared to the others , this won’t hurt at all – a nice way of dying. (YOU ARE SHOT BY A FIRING SQUAD) IN NINTH PLACE - THE CANNON A bit messier, but, like the firing squad, you die quickly. (YOU GET SHOT AT WITH A CANNON) IN EIGHTH PLACE - LETHAL INJECTION Not for those that don’t like needles. (YOU ARE INJECTED WITH A LETHAL DOSE OF A DANGEROUS DRUG)

  3. IN SEVENTH PLACE – BEHEADING This mightsoundgruesome, but itisn’tthatbad if you compare with the onescoming up. (HEAD CHOPPED OFF). IN SIXTH PLACE – THE GASCHAMBER Quitegruesome and die slowly. (BREATHING OF POISONOUSGASES). IN FIFTH PLACE – HANGING The spinal cord breaks, resulting in instant death. But itisstillpainful. (FLOOR BREAKS THEN YOU ARE LEFT TO HANG UNTIL YOU DIE).

  4. IN FOURTH PLACE – ELECTROCUTION Ghastly, yes, but the executions in thislist are not gettingbetter are they? (SERIES OF ELECTRIC SHOCKSPASSEDTHROUGH THE BODY USUALLYFROM A CHAIR). IN THIRD PLACE – SLOW SLICING Yetanothergruesomeway to die. (VICTIMS DIE SLOWLYTHROUGH LOTS OF INCISIONS TO THE BODY, AT VITAL ORGANS). IN SECOND PLACE – COOKING Yes – cookedhumans! (VICTIMS ARE PLACED INSIDE A BRONZE BULL AND ARE THENCOOKED. THANKFULLY, THEY ARE NOT EATEN). AND IN FIRST…SAWING The mostinhumaneway to killsomeone. (VICTIMS ARE HELDUPSIDE DOWN, STRIPPED OF CLOTHING, AND CUTUSING A SAWFROM THE ANUS DOWNWARDS).

  5. WARNING!!! SOME OF THESE PICS ARE VERYGRUESOME SO DON’T SAY I DIDN’TWARN YOU!!!

  6. There are a range of crimes that can result in death; from extremecorruption to robbery. Here’s just a few of the many crimes thatincur the Death Penalty: Treason Apostasy Piracy Armed robbery Murder Terrorism Rape Adultery Theft and many, many more...

  7. All religions, with the exception of Buddhism and Christianity, agree that the death penalty is permissible. In Islam, it says the death penalty may only be permissible when the family of the executionee have pardon, if wanted, although some scholars say that in the Qur'an it states, ‘To take another’s life would be like taking the lives of the whole of humanity. To save a life would be like saving the whole of humanity.’ In Buddhism though, it states that it may not be permissible to takeanother’s life in this way at all. InJudaism, it is strictly allowed but inChristianity it is not.

  8. Many people believe it is wrong to have a life taken away from them by someone and they ‘only’ receive a life sentence. Others think that this ‘Eye for an eye’ business is more for people to get revenge than to do what’s morally right. We agree with the latter statement that states that a life sentence is a sufficient enough punishment for any serious crime, particularly in high-security jails.

  9. The Death penalty is used in the following countries (in order of frequency of use in 2009): China (at least 1700 a year (could be as much as 10,000)) Iran (at least 388) Iraq (at least 120) Saudi Arabia (at least 69) USA (at least 52) Yemen (at least 30) Sudan (around 9) Vietnam (around 9) Syria (around 8) Japan (around 7) Abolished Abolished, except in a time of war Abolished in practice, not by law Actively used
